I’ve never played an instrument in my life. I was inspired by my step-son while he is learning the trombone in 5th grade, to learn an instrumnet myself. I got a used P. Mauriat PMSA-57GC, with the classical setup (whatever that means).

I’ve had it for a couple months mow and I am having a lot of fun with it. I’m knocking out Go Tell Aunt Rhodie, Hot Cross Buns, and MAry Had a Little Lamb. My favorite thing is just playing scales up & down, fast & slow. I found some good lessons on-line from Jay Metcalf.

I hope to take some lessons IRL next year when I can put some time & scratch together.
